General Secretariat

The Secretary General is assigned to the Executive Board with the duties of a general staff position. In addition, he is in charge of ETH Zurich’s Legal Office.

The Secretary General oversees the operations of the Executive Board and the meeting of the heads of departments; he coordinates ETH Zurich’s activities in the ETH Domain (ETH Board) and at CRUS level.

The secretariat is responsible for:

• receiving Executive Board operations and ensuring the communication of Executive Board decisions (excerpts of the minutes)
• drafting decrees (inauguration and resignation of professors, appointment of departmental heads)
• distributing the documentation of ETH Board and CRUS meetings to the Executive Board and monitoring the submission of proposals to the ETH Board
• updating the legal collection on the web
• updating the state calendar
  

Registry and Interim Archive

The registry and interim archive are responsible for the following:

• registering incoming mail for the members of the Executive Board
• the interim archiving of documents according to Article 109 of ETH Zurich's financial regulations and, in addition, the relevant regulatory statutes
